Jombang Police Chief AKBP Fadli Widiyanto said, the basic needs that rose were beef, chicken and chili. According to him, beef rose by Rp. 5,000 from Rp. 100 thousand / kg to Rp. 105 thousand / kg. Chicken meat rises by Rp. 1,000 from Rp. 33 thousand / kg to Rp. 34 thousand / kg. While cayenne pepper rose Rp. 7 thousand from Rp. 28 thousand / kg to Rp. 35 thousand / kg.

"Information from the slaughterhouse is currently looking for beef cattle which is rather difficult. If the chili rises because it is famine," Fadli said at the inspection site on Friday.
Particularly regarding the increase in beef prices, continued Fadli, his party would field the Food Task Force to investigate the cause. While the matter of the price of chili and chicken meat, Jombang Regency Government will coordinate with the East Java Provincial Government to ensure smooth supply.

"The Food Task Force will go down to investigate the causes of the increase in beef prices. Are there parties who hold back the supply of cattle. If there is a deterrent to disrupt prices, we will impose criminal acts," he said firmly.

The price increase of the three commodities was complained by traders at Citra Niaga Market. The reason is, their sales have dropped by 50% since prices rose around 3 days ago.
"My sales fell 50 percent. Usually 50 kilograms a day, now only 25 kilograms. Our hope is that the price can be stable," said Asfiyah, one of the beef traders.

Meanwhile the prices of other basic necessities in the Citra Niaga Market tend to be stable. The price of rice is Rp. 9 thousand / kg, sugar is Rp. 10 thousand / kg, bulk cooking oil is Rp. 10,500 / liter, chicken eggs Rp. 25 thousand / kg, wheat flour Rp. 7,500 / kg, garlic Rp. 16 thousand / kg, and shallots IDR 24 thousand / kg.
